Work trips

Because of the change in Gillian's job, she was away less often this year - Vienna in January with her LTfLL project, Manchester (!) and Leeds in March with SEDENTEXCT, then Frankfurt in July and Warsaw in September with LINNEAUS. She only had tourist time on the Warsaw visit, where she added a day. Warsaw is a fascinating city for a weekend break, as it suffered so terribly in World War 2 and there are many reminders of its history. The old centre is delightful, having been completely rebuilt after the War.

Martin was in KL three times again, external examining (Malaysia page), and also went to Taipei in Taiwan (May) with one of his regular conferences. With his EU-funded project, ISAC6+. he also visited Prato near Florence (March), Dublin (April) and Lisbon (September).
